The fountains

Thanksgiving evening we went to the mall to look at the water fountains. The water changes colors and moves to the music that is playing.

Logan loved the water.

Of course Logan tried to drink and play in the water even though it was freezing cold outside.

Their was a big Moose as part of the Christmas decorations so all the kids took a turn sitting on it. Eventually the security guy told us to get off, but luckily that was after all our pictures were taken. This is Blake on the Moose.

And Logan on the Moose.

At the mall there was a fire pit which we all stood around and told what we were thankful for.

Thanksgiving

We started Thanksgiving off by going to Scandia so the Grandparents and Aunt Carolyn could get dinner ready. Scandia was having a great deal where all video games, lazer tag, mini golf and the race cars were only ten dollars. Here is Logan and Marissa getting ready to race the cars.

Blake and Rich getting ready.

Rich and Blake in the lead.

Joel and Danielle are in the blue car followed by Marissa and Logan in the yellow. We had fun playing all the games and just hanging out. When we got home we skyped with the Kahn family and Grandpa and Grandma Byers. We then had a delicious (as Logan would say) Thanksgiving feast. After the feast grandma, Carolyn and I took the kids on a walk while everyone else took their Thanksgiving nap. When we got back we turned on the out side fire pit and roasted marshmallows for smores and then went inside for pie. It was a relaxing and yummy Thanksgiving.

Playing Music

Tonight we went to my cousin Danielle and her husband Joel's house. Danielle is a music major and between her and her husband they have lots of instruments. Here is Blake and Sadie playing the piano.

In the same room Joel has a drum set that Logan loved. He pounded away on the drum. Here is Logan with my cousin Marissa. Between the piano and the drums it was really loud. Lets just say a drum set is on my list of things to never buy.

Mini Golf

Our family went up to Northern California to spend time with my Aunt and Uncle and their girls. We left at 5 am and got up their around lunch time. After a long day in the car we all went out to play miniature golf. As you can tell by Sadie it was freezing up there!

Blake hitting the ball.

Logan golfing. We had fun playing golf with all the family.

Park

Today after I took Logan and Sadie to the Library we went to the park nearby.

They had so much fun just walking up and down this toy.

Glasses

Blake got a letter sent home from school saying that he needed his eyes checked because he didn't pass the eye exam at school. My eyes have been starting to bother me after I read for a long period of time, so I went to the eye doctors with Blake. Well Blake's eye are fine, but I got some reading glasses. It stinks getting old. So here is a picture of me in my reading chair with my new glasses.

Awards

Blake's school had their first trimester awards today. Blake got a proficient math and proficient language arts awards. Here he is shaking the Principle Mrs. Baines hand.

Blake with his awards. We are so proud of Blake for working hard in first grade. It has been a big adjustment for him from kindergarten. Blake always works hard, his teacher tells us his biggest problem is that he stress and worries too much about doing things wrong. Sorry Blake you get that from me.
