First Day of School

Life as we knew it is officially over. The carefree days of doing and going places as we want is now over. We have been put on a daily, weekly and monthly schedule as we now have entered the world of school.

Blake was so excited to start kindergarten today. He got up at 6:30 this morning which is really early for my kids who don't get up until 8:00. When he woke up he told me, " I am so excited to go to kindergarten today!" All morning he kept asking if it was time for school yet. He pick out his new outfit that he wanted to wear, he wanted to do his own hair, and tie his own shoes (which he is still working on doing himself)

Blake in front of his new school. He is in afternoon kindergarten so he doesn't start until 10:20 a perfect time for us.

Blake going to line up after his teacher Mrs. Corona called his name. It was nice about a month ago they had kindergarten orientation and he got to meet his new teacher.

Blake in line with some of his class mates.

After dinner we had first day of school brownies. He seemed to have a good first day of school, neither of us cried and he still wants to go back tomorrow.

Backyard Campout

Tonight Rich and the boys decided to have a campout in the backyard.

Blake blew the air into the air mattresses.

Here are the boys in front of the tent they set up.

I made some smores to eat.

Slip n slide

We bought a slip n slide and a blow up pool for the boys to play in. They had so much fun playing with the slip n slide. Too bad it destroyed our grass.

I was surprised how much Logan loved the slip n slide.

Pirate Girl

Sometimes Sadie keeps one eye closed and the other one open. Blake told me she looks like a pirate. When he now walks in the room he asks "How's my pirate girl doing?" We all just laugh at him and our little pirate girl.

Blake Talking To Sadie

My boys have been with grandma and grandpa the last couple of days. So this afternoon Blake finally came home from grandma and grandpas. It has been the first time he has really been around Sadie. I had Sadie in her car seat sleeping and as Blake walked by he noticed that she had woken up. In his quiet voice he started to talk to her and it was so sweat. His conversation went like this:

Blake: "Oh your awake, I can see that your eyes are open now. I'm Blake, the other brother is Logan and you are Sadie. You want me to hold you? I have to go and try to kill a fly first. You can watch me try and shoot it (with a Nerf gun). I'll be right back."

Blake then went off shooting the fly that was in our house, he did eventually kill it. He is such a good big brother. He brings Sadie toys to play with and shakes a rattle for her. She is lucky to have such a loving big brother.

Baseball Star

Tonight it was cute Blake pretended to be a famous baseball player. He would pretended to hit a ball and then run around the house like he hit a home run.

Soon Logan wanted in on the action.

Blake handed Rich his foam finger and told him to wave it. So as Blake was running around the house Rich would wave his finger and cheer for them.

Grandma's 50th

Today after we had family pictures we had my parents take the grandchildren to the park. My mom's birthday is at the end of the month and is turning 50, so my sister wanted to celebrate it before she left. While my parents were at the park we hurried up and decorated the house to surprise my mom with a birthday party. My brother brought his Halloween decorations, and my sister bought all these fun signs and decorations mocking her age. She was completely surprised when she came home from the park.

Grandma Shelly walking down the black carpet with her walker.

My sister had down loaded a cd with songs that came out the year she was born. Then the older grandchildren read fact about when grandma was their age.

Grandma opening her gifts.

Happy Birthday mom! Your a great mom and grandma. You look great, I hope look like you when I turn 50.

Family Pictures

Today we attempted family pictures with the Moss family. It was one of the last days that we would all be together before the Kahn family went home. So even though Sadie was only two days old we took her out in an attempt to take family pictures. Anytime you try and take a picture with a large group it is very difficult, but it seems like there is always one person that makes it impossible to get a family picture. Today that would be our Logan monster (as we so loving call him). He did everything in his power for us not to get a good picture and was successful on some levels. So even though other kids or people may not look so good Logan is probably the reason they took such a bad picture.

Sadie Elaine Rauch

Our little girl was born on the 4th of July at 11:49am. She was 19 inches long and weighed
7 lbs 7 oz

We were so excited that she was born with lots of hair. Sadie looks a little like both of our boys, but continues to change as her swelling goes down.

Blake and Logan were so excited to see their little sister. Grandma and Grandpa brought them to the hospital to see Sadie. They come with flowers and balloons for us.

The proud older brothers.

We were ready to come home from the hospital the next day. Sadie in her car seat ready to go home.
