Several years ago we started doing a New York New Years party with my family. Instead of waiting until midnight to celebrate new years we celebrate it a 9:00 and watch the New York celebration. We did this so our kids can stay awake and join in the celebration.
We do a balloon drop from the ceiling, have confetti, horns, hats, and lots of food. It is a lot of fun.
We even had left over sparklers from the 4th of July that we played with. It was a fun night welcoming in the new year. After we celebrated we watched a movie from my parents projector. We got home at 11:55 and were in bed by 12:15 (yes, we are getting old).

I had never thought to do the New York New Years. What a great idea. Our kids never make it to midnight. I think I'll do it next year. Thanks!
If only Logan was looking at the camera that would have been a perfect family photo, oh well it looks like you guys had lots of fun, sorry I missed it. Ellie said she had lots of fun with the boys, she loves those 2 and talks about them all the time!
I miss the New Year's Party. They are so much fun. I did like your phone call though.
