Blake was getting very discouraged because he struck out during his first two games. He wasn't enjoying baseball because he didn't think he was very good. We tried to encourage him not to give up and reminded him that he was the youngest on his team and the other boys have all played before, but he was still discouraged. Rich started to pitch to him everyday and work with him on his batting. Today we were really hoping that he would get a hit to help build his confidence. After all Blake's hard work he finally got his first hit right to the first base man, but on his second at bat he had a great hit and got on base.
Along with getting his first hit Blake got the game ball from his coach! He is one happy boy and is excited about baseball again!!!
