Last year we bought a harbor cruise from our Scout Auction, so we finally went to use it tonight before it expired. Unfortunately kids had to be 4 years old to attend so Sadie got to stay the night at Grandma and Grandpas. I am sure she had more fun there than on the boat.
The harbor cruise was located in Dana Point and it was a Bioluminescence cruise which meant we were supposed to see plankton glow in the dark.
Me and my boys. It was so pretty there, I just love the beach.
Well the cruse was 2 hours long and it was very cold, but thankfully they had hot chocolate for us.
They pulled a net behind the boat and pulled it up so we could look at all the plankton and other small things in the ocean. We didn't really see things glow in the dark (they pointed out things, but it wasn't really that noticeable), but we did see some sea lion, thousands of squid, a dolphin swim by and eat the squid and Rich even saw a shark hiding under the boat. We did have fun, but we wish we could have seen a little more.
