Primary Program

Blake had his first Primary Program on Sunday. He was excited to speak in the microphone, and invited all his Grandparents to come. I was a little nervous for him. We have been practicing his lines for weeks, and he had them all memorized. His lines were, "I have two ears to hear the cries of my brothers", " I have two feet to follow in Gods footsteps" and "Jesus Christ is my Savior." He went up and said all of his lines, the first two lines he asked for help even though he knew them. He didn't sing much, and towards the end he just sat down and wouldn't stand for the songs. Blake would just sit with his hands folded behind his head or laid across the chairs trying to go to sleep. Sometimes it's hard having 1:00 church, my kids are tired. I was proud of him he did a good job and was grateful he didn't cry.

Yeah Blake! Brynn had her first program on Sunday too. Her performance sounds almost identical. She knew her lines, but asked for help. Sang the first few songs, and then wouldn't stand for the rest. Most of the time she sat there in a daze and looked like she would fall asleep. Toward the end she even started begging me from afar, to let her join us on the pew. We have 11:30 church. 1:00 would be torture. The kids just get so tired. Sounds like Blake did great job though. It will be fun to retell these stories to them someday.
