Last night at dinner Blake started to complain of an ear ache. We went to the store and got some swim ear medicine for him. He was fine for awhile, but he woke up during the middle of the night in pain. Today we had to leave Fort Fisher early because of Hurricane warnings. It worked out for the best since Blake and Sadie were not feeling very good. I ended up taking both Blake and Sadie to urgent care. Sadie had a 103 temp, Blake 101 temp, both had strep throat and their ears were a little red. I felt so bad that they were both so sick. We ended up taking them to my parents hotel to keep them away from all the other kids. Luckily a hour after I gave them their first dose of medicine they were feeling so much better. The doctor told us they were very contagious the first 24 hours, but after that they would be fine to be around others. I felt bad that they had to miss playing with their cousins, but luckily we were able to get them into the doctors right away.

Awwe, poor kids. Nothing worse than being sick on vacation. Thank goodness for urgent care!
