Valentines Day

On Valentines I try and make it fun for the whole family. It's a day where we show our love for each other. We had a fun red breakfast, and everyone got a heart filled with some candy, a toy and of course a red shirt. Rich gave me some pretty tulips (I'm not a rose person). We went on a family bike ride, which is our favorite thing to do together. For dinner I made a red dinner with heart shaped pizza, tradition from my mom growing up.

Logan ate most of the toppings while he put a few on the pizza.

The boys each made a pizza with their favorite toppings.

They did a great job, and also helped me cut the strawberries, put pink whipped cream on jello, die the dip for the chips and set the table.
It was a fun day filled with good food and spending time together.

4 Mommy

Today after a long Sunday of meetings before and after church I came home to find this on the table. Underneath was a plate with a peanut butter jelly sandwich, apples, grapes, and crackers. I went straight into the other room and gave my family a big hugs and kisses. I am so grateful for all their support and love to me especially when I have a lot of meeting to attend. Rich is so supportive and never complains even when he has to get the boys bathed and ready for 9:00 church all by himself (and he is even on time to church). Thanks so much boys, I love you!

Preschool

(Not a very good picture, but the sun was in his eyes in all the pictures. Blake had to line up his backpack and lunch pail for the picture.)

Blake started preschool this last week. I've been wanting to sign him up for awhile now, but just forgot to. I figured now would be a good time to start preschool since he will be starting Kindergarten this August. He only goes two days a week in addition to his letter learner class he is already taking. I'm hoping it will help him so going to school everyday won't be so hard on him (or me, which I know I'm going to cry once he starts kindergarten.) The most exciting part for Blake was being able to take a lunch to school with him. He asks me what I packed for him and them gives me his approval on the things I put in his lunch. He would then want me to add to his lunch other items like grapes. He told me his teacher said, "Wow Blake you have a very big lunch!" And he did, all his requests barely fit into his lunch bag. Blake seems to enjoy his class, and came home excited after the second day saying, "Mom I made a lot of new friends today!"

Ultrasound

Today we had our first ultrasound. Rich and I took Blake who was so excited to go and see the baby. He would ask the sonographer questions, and make comments during the ultrasound. The baby is developing as it should, but the technician had problems determining the gender. Towards the end the baby cooperated and we found out we are having a baby girl! When the sonographer told us it was a girl Blake turned to Rich and said, "I told you the baby was a girl" He was right and we are all excited to have a baby girl coming into our family. Since the baby is younger than originally predicted I get to go back in a couple of weeks for another ultrasound to get better pictures for the doctors. So, I am happy to get another ultrasound and see the baby again.

Swing

Blake learned how to swing on the swing all by himself. It is wonderful! His cousin Kayla came over and taught him how to use the swing on his own. So thanks Kayla. Blake loves to swing now and tries to go higher every time.

Cookies

The boys and I made sugar cookies last night. We had fun rolling out the dough and using the cookie cutters. The best part was decorating the cookies with lots of frosting and sprinkles. Logan preferred just to eat the sprinkles and Blake enjoyed the frosting.

Grandma Moss

My Grandma Moss passed away this last week on January 19th. She was a wonderful classy lady who lived a long healthy life. I am going to miss her greatly, but I am grateful for the many memories that I have of her. It's time like these that the gospel brings peace and happiness in my life. She is now back with her eternal companion, and I am sure she is working hard and keeping busy continuing with the Lords work. I love you grandma and miss you!
