Bubble Man

We went to the Chino Youth Museum for the free Friday activity. Blake and our friend Jax on the motorcycle.

This Friday's theme was bubbles. So they had a bubble craft, bubbles to blow outside and a bubble man came to put on a show.

The bubble man was really late to do his show, but the kids patiently waited for him. I was not as patent and was ready to leave. The bubble man eventually showed up and did his show. Logan loved it. He was in awe. At the end the bubble man said he would put everyone in a bubble that wanted to. The workers said the kids that were sitting quietly would go first. Blake really wanted to do this. He put on a big smile, sat up straight and folded his arms. Well of course the pushy little kids got to go first and that left us last in about forty kids.

Eventually after a long wait Blake finally got his turn. He was so excited, but when it was his turn he got so shy.

When he was done I asked Blake why he didn't seem to happy in the bubble. He told me when the boy in front of him went he started to get nervous. Blake did think it was so cool he tells us I never had been in a bubble before.

Logan even decided to give it a try. At the last minute he went right up for his turn.

Afterward Logan didn't seemed phased by the whole exipeirence, and he probably won't ever mention that he was in a bubble.

The very last person to go was cousin Ellie. Poor Ellie debate whether or not to do this. Sometime the thought of it brought her to tears. But, she was brave and gave it a try. Since she was the last person the bubble man showed her how to put her arm through the bubble without popping it.
Even though it turned out to be a long afternoon the kids had fun being together, and after all how often do you get to be put into a bubble?
