Lost

Blake's dog Captain Rex is now missing. I do not allow my children to take their toys to the church, or friends houses because they usually get lost. Well Wednesday night I had a meeting at the church and Rich had Scouts. I did not know that Blake had brought his dog in or I would have told him to leave it in the car. Once we got home and were getting ready for bed Blake yells, "I left Captain Rex at the church". He starts crying hysterically about how much he really likes him, and Captain Rex didn't have his clothes on so how was he going to fight the bad guys. He felt so bad he told me he would never take him anywhere again. So I called Rich who was almost home and he decided to go back to the church to get him. The church was locked and the codes were not working. Blake cried himself to sleep in our bed after planning a secret mission with dad to get Captain Rex back.

The next morning Blake immediately puts on his army clothes. When I see him he tells me, "Mom you can't see me huh because I am getting ready for my secret mission."

He then gets post its and starts drawing pictures of Captain Rex. He even put a little heart since he put a heart inside it when he made him. He didn't like his hearts and would have me draw them for him.

Rich came from work before Blake went to school to go on their rescue mission. Blake spent awhile trying to figure out what weapon he was going to take. First it was a Nerf gun, then his light saber, he finally went with a bat.

Well Blake and Rich went to the church and searched for Captain Rex sadly he was not there. Our poor bishop hearing about Blake's dog went to the church on his own and looked through all the cupboards, but he couldn't find him either. So Blake cried again when they couldn't find Captain Rex. Every time I see Blake after he has been gone like at school or a friends house he asks me,"Did you find Captain Rex?" I might have to do my own secret mission back to build a bear.
