Blake's 6th Birthday!

Every year I can't believe how much my children are growing up. This was a hard year as Blake turned 6. It breaks my heart that Blake now has to use two hands to show how old he is. I can't believe how fast time goes it seems like he was just born. Blake was so excited for his birthday and about a week before his birthday he asked me if he could start telling people his was six. This was partly because we started celebrating his birthday with extended family about then. Blake is such a good boy, he is constantly helping us out. He worries so much about his brother and especially his sister. Blake is also a very proud big brother and gets excited when his siblings do something new or exciting and will tell others about what they did. He loves playing with his friends and has to play with somebody everyday. He could play outside all day with tons of friends, and then when it is time to come in and get ready for bed he is complaining how he didn't get to play with his friends very long since he had to come inside and eat dinner for 20 minutes. Blake loves going places, being outside, going to scouts with dad and is just a great all around kid. We love him so much!
Blake had several little parties. He had one for each side of the family.

He is lucky and got lots of gifts from all his cousins, aunts, uncles grandmas and grandpas.

I felt bad for Blake he had been off track the previous three weeks, but his birthday was his first day back to school. He did not want to go to school on his birthday. Blake wanted to stay home and play with his friends. He tried to tell me that a boy in his class didn't have to go to school on his 6th birthday, he got to go to Disneyland. Sadly I made him go to school. I took him to the donut store for breakfast, so that helped.

When Blake got home from school I had his cake finished. He so excited and loved his cake. Blake wanted a red dragon cake since we were going to see "How to Train a Dragon" for his birthday.

I think Blake was happy he went to school they sang to him and his two friends Dawson and David who I used to babysit transferred to his school and now are in his class.

We called his cousin Breckin to go with us to dinner and watch the movie. Afterwards Blake's cousins came over for cake and ice cream.

Blake's cousin Brendan put a candle in the dragons mouth so it would look like he was breathing fire.

Blake opening more presents. Blake had a great birthday, and is already planning his seventh birthday.

Did you make that cake? Great job! It's really cool. It is sad to see our oldest grow up. They will always be our little babies. A girl in Hunter's class went to D-land for her birthday too. Fortunately, Hunter was born in the summer and on a holiday so he'll always have his day off. Although, I wouldn't have let Hunter have the day off either.
