Today I took the boys to the Mary
Vagle Nature Center. Even though it is down the street from our house this was our first time going. Dad and Sadie stayed home and took a nap.

We packed up our green lunch and had a picnic by the pond. The boys had fun packing all are green stuff: green
beagle sandwich, green chips, green juice, and green grapes. Blake even thought to bring a green blanket.

Inside the Nature Center they have snakes, spiders, and other creatures.

Blake couldn't find his camera before we left so I let him use mine. He had a blast going around taking pictures of the animals, and insects we saw. This is a tarantula we saw.

Blake took this picture of a snake.

Blake took this picture of the tortoise trying to climb the rocks.

Blake took this picture of the water turtle in the pond.

Here is a duck Blake took a picture of .

The goose checking out Logan's toes. I was worried it might bite him, but luckily the goose was in a good mood.

The boys loved trying to get close to the geese. I told them not to get too close because they do bite and attack people.

All dressed up in our green.

Sadie's first St. Patrick's day.

I even let Blake spray my hair green.

Our green St. Patrick's Day dinner. Even Sadie had her green baby food dinner. During dinner Blake says,"Mom your busted the meat is not green!" I tried to explain that you eat corn beef on St. Patrick's day, but that was not
ok with Blake. I also forgot to buy green napkins which Blake also pointed out to me. I tried. Next year I need to think of a green main dish instead of corn beef.

After dinner I sent the kids on a treasure hunt for dessert.

Logan and Blake looking for clues.

Cookies!

We had a fun St. Patrick's Day and a great time at the nature center. Blake was already asking to go back to the nature center when we got home. I am glad we finally went and look forward to many more visits at the nature center.

We've been over to the nature center twice and we love it. But last time Athen and I were both pecked at by those huge muskogee's, or whatever they're called. So far the geese have left us alone.
I love how you celebrate each holiday. I hope someday I have the energy to do that.
You are such an awesome mom, your kids are lucky to have you as a mother.
