I usually buy Cheerios or Frosted Mini
Wheats for breakfast. Blake does not like my cereal choices and always wants me to make pancakes, eggs or french toast for breakfast. The other day I took Blake shopping with me and I let him pick out any cereal he wanted. His choice was Coco Puffs. The next morning the kids were so excited for breakfast because we had a good cereal. As I get the cereal out Blake asks me, "Is that dog food?" I tell him, "No its the cereal you picked out yesterday, why would I feed you dog food?" We got the generic brand that came in a bag so I guess it looked like a dog food bag. I pour him a bowl he hesitantly takes his first bite and then after tasting the chocolate sugary cereal he got excited and finishes his cereal. I started to get Logan's bowl ready and call Logan down for breakfast. Soon Logan comes in the kitchen and sees his bowl of cereal and is so excited! Dog Food! He also called his cereal dog food even though he wasn't around when Blake and I had our conversation. But unlike Blake Logan excitedly digs into his "dog food". Logan still loves dogs and almost daily pretends he is a dog. When we watch our families dogs while they are on vacation Logan eats the dog food. I have caught Logan sitting in front of
tv with the dog bowl eating the dogs food. So now anytime Logan wants Coco Puffs he asks me, "Can I have dog food please?" The other night I was away at a Relief Society Meeting and during bed time Logan asked Rich for "dog food". Rich just told him no and go to sleep. Later I had to explain what Logan meant by "dog food". Well breakfast time is a lot happier now and the food gets all eaten up. Blake with his Coco Puffs and Logan with his "dog food".

Fun post and cute green picture of the kids. I think Wes and Logan would be good buddies. They could play doggies and eat their Coco Puff dog food all day long together.
I love Rich's response. That's exactly what Kelly would have done and then he would have come to me asking me why I feed our kids dog food. Thanks for the laugh. Cute story. I never thought of it, but yes, coco puffs do look like dog food.
Missed you yesterday. Thanks for telling me Hunter was in the wrong class. I think he told the teacher he just turned 5. What do kids know? He's in the right class now, thanks!
